Kurt (Ted) Saraceno
President
Over the past 40 years, Ted Saraceno has formed and led development teams to acquire, permit, construct and lease over 5,500,000 square feet of commercial office, life science, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use properties.
Ted is a graduate of Colby College and is active in philanthropic efforts around Greater Boston. He is the founder of the Spirit of Giving, a charity that has donated over 4,000 Christmas dinners to residents of Boston and Waltham. He is also a 30+ year rider in the Pan Mass Challenge. Ted enjoys offshore fishing and skiing. He lives in Dover, MA with his wife and three kids.
Malcolm Constable
Principal
Malcolm Constable oversees all acquisitions, development, capital sourcing, and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Saracen Properties, Malcolm was a Director of Acquisitions at Atlas Real Estate Partners and an Associate at Clarion Partners, where he held positions in both Asset and Portfolio Management. During his five years at Clarion, he oversaw the three million square foot Greater Boston office portfolio as well as the oversight of two separate account pension fund clients with a gross asset value of $3.5 billion, and the development of a 420,000 square foot life science building anchored by Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Malcolm is a member of ULI’s Real Estate Technology Council and United Way’s Community Builders. He has a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and lives in Wellesley, MA with his wife and two kids.
Chris Roller
Assistant Vice President
Chris Roller supports acquisitions, development activities, asset management, and strategic initiatives for Saracen Properties. Before Saracen he worked for LandVest’s Real Estate Consulting Group in Boston, where he was primarily responsible for advisory and management assignments across varying geographies and asset classes. Typical projects included valuations and financial modeling, development feasibility studies, and zoning and regulatory analyses for private, public, and institutional clients.
As a part of his graduate studies, Chris interned with Leggat McCall Properties in their acquisitions and development teams. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and a Master’s in Real Estate Development degree from Cornell University. Chris currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
Alie Saraceno
Director
Alie Saraceno serves as a Director, supporting all aspects of fundraising, investor relations and portfolio management for Saracen Properties. Prior to joining Saracen, Alie worked at Morgan Stanley in Private Wealth Management as a Client Service Associate where she completed financial goal analysis, portfolio management reviews, and cash management for clients.
A graduate from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College, Alie earned a B.S. with a dual concentration in Finance and Marketing. While at Boston College, Alie was a member of the Boston College Club Tennis Team and held numerous leadership positions on campus. She is a supporter, team captain, and nine-year rider of the Pan Mass Challenge and serves on the Board of Ambassadors for Flying Kites. Alie currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
Lisa D. Arya
Chief Operating Officer / Management Company
Lisa Arya oversees all aspects of the management company, including accounting, finance, property maintenance/improvements and administration functions. Lisa has twenty-five years of property management experience. She has worked with Saracen Properties, LLC since 1994, after working for six years at JMB Properties Company, a Chicago based real estate development and management company. She has extensive knowledge of computers and extensive experience with various accounting software packages.
Lisa has a B.S. degree in Business Economics from Merrimack College, she is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds an RPA® designation from BOMI International. Lisa is married and has three children.
Mike McDonnell, PE
Vice President, Life Science Development & Operations
Mike McDonnell has spent the last 16 years working directly and as a consultant for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, delivering over 3 million square feet of life science and biomanufacturing facilities. Mike is typically engaged early in the process for strategic master planning, site selection, and lease negotiation and then has lead the design, construction, and facilities operational start-up for clients. He has experience with all life science project types including repositioning, ground-up, cGMP manufacturing, wet lab, hot lab, chemistry, imaging, and vivarium spaces. Prior to his consultant work, Mike was the Director of Real Estate and Facilities Master Planning at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Mike holds a Bachelor’s in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Northeastern University.
Carleton G. Tarpinian
Director of Leasing
Cary Tarpinian has over thirty (35) years of real estate experience. Cary is responsible for coordinating all client leasing activities. Prior to Saracen Properties, Cary was employed with State Properties of New England where he was involved in leasing and brokerage. Prior to that, he was the Real Estate Manager at Star Market Company. Cary is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, Nacore, and the Urban Land Institute.
During his career, Cary has leased over 6 million square feet of office space. Cary is a graduate of the University of Maine.
Jessica Scalfani
Accounting Associate
Jessica Scalfani serves as an Accounting Associate at Saracen. Prior to joining Saracen, Jessica worked at The RMR Group in Newton, MA as a Property Accountant where she managed 32 properties. She also has previous experience in Real Estate and Asset Management as an auditor a KPMG in Boston, MA.
Jessica has a B.S. and M.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University. She currently lives in Stoneham, MA.
